sub the value of x in eqn I

Therefore eqn I becomes

-y² + 14y - 45 = 0

Multiply the above eqn by -1

y² - 14y + 45 = 0

On Factorizing it we get

(y-5) (y-9) =0

y-5 = 0 => y= 5

y-9 = 0 => y= 9
