The product of two numbers is 9375 and the quotient, when the larger one is divided by the smaller, is 15. what is the sum of the numbers?

Let the two numbers be x and y.
Where x>y.

As given in the question,

x*y=9375. (Equation 1)

x/y=15.

So we have to find x+y.

x/y=15.

=>x=15*y=15y. Putting value of y in equation 1

x*y =9375.


=>15y*y= 9375.

=>y^2= 9375/15= 625.

=>y=√625= 25.

So x = 15y= 15*25=375.

So x+y= 375+25=400.
