Solution:-

Let the required numbers be X and Y

X>Y

Let the larger number be X

Let the smaller number be Y

The product of the two numbers = X×Y = XY

According to the given problem

The product of the two numbers = 9375

=> XY = 9375 -------------(1)

And given that

The quotient, when the larger number one is divided by the smaller, is 15 .

=> X/Y = 15

=> X = 15×Y

=> X = 15Y ---------------(2)

On substituting the value of X in (1) then

=> (15Y)(Y) = 9375

=> 15Y² = 9375

=> Y² = 9375/15

=> Y² = 625

=> Y= ±√625

=> Y = ±25

On taking Positive value

Therefore , Y = 25

On substituting the value of Y in (2) then

=> X = 15(25)

=> X = 375

Therefore, X = 375 and Y = 25

Now, X+Y = 375+25 = 400
