Given,

Product of two numbers is -8/9

then x × 2/3 = -8/9

$\frac{2}{3} \times x \: = - \frac{ 8}{ \: 9} \\ x \: = - \frac{8}{9} \times \frac{3}{2} \\ x = - \frac{24}{18}$

x = -24 ÷ 6

18 ÷ 6

x = -4/3
