Let the no. be x

(3/5)×x=-12/35
x=(-12×5)/(35×3)
x=-4/7

Difference =3/5-(-4/7)
=3/5+4/7=41/35
Absolute value of x :
=|41/35|
=41/35

Let the other rational number be 'x'

Given that

3/5 * x = -12/35

x = -12/35 * 5/3

x = -4/7

Now, difference of the numbers

=3/5 - (-4/7)

=3/5 + 4/7

=1.17142857
