Given :

  • The Product of two rational numbers = - 11/5
  • One of the number is 3

To Find :

  • The other number

Solution :

Rational number are the numbers which are in the form p /q, where p and q are integers and q≠0.

Let the other number be a.

Then, according to the question

a \times 3 = -   \frac{11}{5}  \\  \\ a =  -  \frac{11}{5 \times 3}  \\  \\ a =  -  \frac{11}{15}

Therefore, the \: other \: rational \: number \\  \: is \: (-   \frac{11}{15} ) \: which \: multiplied \: by \: 3 \: gives \: a \\  \: product \: ( -  \frac{11}{5} ).
