Let suppose that the second rational number = x

now,

-36/11× x = 24

=> x = 24×11/-36

=> x = 2×11/-3

=> x = 22/-3

hence the second rational number = 22/-3 = -22/3 .

Answer:

The required number = - 22/3 = - \frac{22}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • The product of two numbers is 24 and one of the numbers is -36/11

Solution:-

Let the other number be x.

Now x × \frac{-36}{11} = 24

⇒ x = 24 ×\frac{11}{-36} = \frac{22}{-3} = \frac{-22}{3} = - \frac{22}{3}

⇒x = - 22/3 = - \frac{22}{3}

Answer⇒The required number = - 22/3 = - \frac{22}{3}
