In the above Question , the following information is given -

One of the rational numbers is-4/-9

The product of two rational numbers is-28/-27 .

To find -

Find the other rational number .

Solution -

Here ,

One of the rational numbers is-4/-9

The product of two rational numbers is-28/-27 .

Let us assume that the other rational number is X.

So ,

( -4 / -9 ) × x = ( -28 / -27 )

=> ( 4 / 9 ) x = ( 28 / 27 )

=> x = ( 28 / 27 ) ÷ ( 4 / 9 )

=> x = ( 28 / 27 ) × ( 9 / 4 )

=> x = ( 28 / 4) × ( 9 / 27 )

=> x = 7 × ( 1 / 3 )

=> x = ( 7 / 3 )

Hence, the other rational number is ( 7 / 3 ) .

This is the required answer .

Answer:

Let the other number be 'a'.

Given,

Product of two rational numbers = \frac{-28}{-27} = \frac{28}{27}

One of the numbers = \frac{-4}{-9}  =  \frac{4}{9}

\frac{4}{9}  X   a  = \frac{28}{27}

a = \frac{28}{27}    ÷    \frac{4}{9}

a =  \frac{28}{27}   X   \frac{9}{4}

a = \frac{7}{3}

∴ The other number is \frac{7}{3}.
