the product of two rational numbers is -3/7

one of the number is 5/21

let the other number be 'x'

x×5/21 = -3/7
x = -3/7÷5/21
x = -3/7×21/5
x = -3×3/5
x = -9/5

so the other number is -9/5

here is ur answer

Given,

The product of two rational numbers = -3/7

One of the numbers = 5/21

To find,

The second number.

Solution,

The second number will be -9/5.

According to the question,

The product of two rational numbers = -3/7

One of the numbers = 5/21

Let's take the second number to be x.

So,

 \frac{5}{21}  \times x =   \frac{ - 3}{7}

5x/21 = -3/7

Using the cross multiplication method,

5x×7 = -3×21

x = (-3×21)/(5×7)

Dividing 21 by 7,

x = (-3×3)/5

x = -9/5

Hence, the second rational number is -9/5.
