First No. = 10x

Second No. = 10x + 10

According to question -:

First No. × Second No. = 1200

10x × 10x+10 = 1200

100x^2 + 100x = 1200

100x^2 + 100x - 1200 = 0

Now Factorize using Middle term splitting -:

100(x^2 + x - 12) = 0

x^2 + x - 12 = 0

x^2 + 4x - 3x - 12 = 0

x (x+4) -3 (x+4) = 0

(x+4) (x-3) = 0

x = 3

x = -4

We will take x = 3. Now -:

First No. = 10x

= 10×3

= 30

Second No. = 10x+10

= 10×3 + 10

= 30 + 10
