Step by step explanation:

Let the first multiple of 10 be 10x

second multiple of 10 be 10x+10

According to the question:-

 =  > 10x(10x + 10) = 1200

 =  > 100 {x}^{2}  + 100x = 1200

 =  > 100 {x}^{2}  + 100x - 1200 = 0

Dividing equation by 100,we get

 =  >  {x}^{2}  + x - 12 = 0

 =  >  {x}^{2}  + 4x - 3x - 12 = 0

 =  > x(x + 4) - 3(x + 4) = 0

 =  > (x - 3)(x + 4) = 0

X=3 and x=-4

we take positive value:-

First multiple =10x=10×3=30

second multiple =10x+10=30+10=40

Therefore ,the two successive multiples are (30,40)

Check it's product is 1200

40×30=1200
