Hi ,

Let x , ( x + 5 ) are two successive multiples

of 5 .

according to the problem given ,

product of these numbers = 300

x( x + 5 ) = 300

x( x + 5 ) = 15 × 20

x( x + 5 ) = 15( 15 + 5 )

Compare both sides of the equation.

we easily conclude that ,

x = 15 ,

Therefore ,

Required two numbers are ,

x = 15 ,

x + 5 = 15 + 5 = 20

I hope this helps you.

Heya !!!

Let two successive multiply of 5 is ( X) and ( X+5).

According to question,

Product of these numbers = 300

X × ( X+5) = 300

X² + 5X = 300

X² +5X -300 = 0

X² + 20X - 15X -300 = 0

X ( X +20) - 15( X +20) = 0

( X+20) ( X -15) = 0

( X+20) = 0 OR ( X -15) = 0

X = -20 OR X = 15

Taking positive Value of X .

X = 15

Hence,

Numbers = X and X+5 = 15 , 20

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
