Answer: (b)2

Explanation:

factorizing the equation

x2 - 6x + 5                             2x2 - 7x + 3

= x2 - x - 5x +5                      =2x2 - x - 6x + 3

= x( x -1 ) - 5( x - 1 )                 = x( 2x - 1 ) - 3( 2x - 1 )

= ( x - 1 )( x - 5 )                      = ( x - 3 )( 2x - 1 )

finding the values of x

since (x2-6x+5)(2x2-7x+3)=0

x2-6x+5=0

(x-1)(x-5) = 0

there fore x = 1 and x = 5

2x2-7x+3 = 0

(x-3)(2x-1) = 0

therefore, x= 3 and x= 1/2

hope it helps!
