Even after 30 miles walk he was hearty and miraculously tireless. and he said "chaps, what about a song?"

To infuriate all with the Professor's horrible heartiness and used he used to drill with excitement and was miraculously never exhausted after path marches. Later, he would say, "What about a song, chaps?" This wasn't greeted by anybody after a walk of thirty miles.
