Let the C.P. be Rs. x.

Then, 900−x=2(x−450)

⇒900−x=2x−900

⇒3x=1800

⇒x=600

i.e., C.P. = Rs. 600, Profit =25 %

∴ S.P. of the article = Rs. (600×125)
