Explanation:

Given:-

The profit sharing ratio of A and B is 2:1 and

B and C is 3:2 .

To find:-

Find the profit sharing ratio of A, B and C ?

Solution:-

Given that

The profit sharing ratio of A and B = 2:1

It can be written as

A:B = 2:1

=> A/B = 2/1

=> A/B = (2/1)×(3/3)

=> A/B = (2×3)/(1×3)

=> A/B = 6/3

A:B = 6:3 -----(1)

The profit sharing ratio of B and C = 3:2

B:C = 3:2 -------(2)

From (1)&(2)

A:B = 6:3

B:C = 3:2

_____________

A:B:C = 6:3:2

_____________

Answer:-

The profit if sharing ratio of A,B and C = 6:3:2

Used formulae:-

  • Ratio is an ordered comparision of the same quantities.
  • The ratio of A and B = A:B
  • A:B can be written as A/B
