Hey,the answer is there in the question itself..
The projection of vector 2i+3j onto the y axis is having the magnitude of 3

sahiljairamani78: have you measured magnitude with scale??
sarthakkhurana8: No there is no need of scale
sahiljairamani78: so how you calculated bro please tell me my physics is so weak
sahiljairamani78: I understand bro thanks a lot
sarthakkhurana8: See brother when u are given a position vector u can resolve it into different vectors.Say u have a vector with magnitude 5m making an angle of 30 degree with x axis ,u can say that it has magnitude 5sin30 in x direction and 5cos30 in y direction
sarthakkhurana8: Ok brother ur welcome
sarthakkhurana8: Sorry i did mistake.5sin30 in y direction and 5cos30 in x dir
sahiljairamani78: thanks a lot bro great explaination
sarthakkhurana8: :)
