India–Sudan relations refers to the international relations that exist between India and Sudan. Except for the 150-year-old presence of about 2,000 Gujarati traders, India was not a particularly important partner for Sudan until 2003, when India's national oil company, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), acquired a 25 percent share in Sudan's Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company.[1] Since then, there has been greater engagement between the two countries.
