The sport is hunting a tiger. the villagers were offered thousand rupees for their cooperation. The business instincts of the villagers encouraged them to cooperate with Mrs. Packletide in her hunting sport. For that they provided an emaciated old tiger. When they knew that it is an opportunity for them to earn 1000 rupees, they were ready to do anything. They took great care not to disturb the tiger in any way. They even posted children to see that the tiger does not leave their forest for another better place.
