The proton attached to carbon 1 (C1) of cis- and trans isomers of 4-tert-butyl-1-bromocyclohexane appear at 4.33 and 3.63, respectively. Explain the difference in chemical shift values of the C1 proton. Would you expect to see such difference in cyclohexyl bromide?
