Let the cost of 1 table be y
Therefore cost of 11 chairs too will be 11x
Y = 11x
X + 11X = 140
X = 140/12
Therefore a chair will cost Rs 11.66

Let cost of one chair be x and cost of one table be y.

According to question

11x = y \: \: \: \: \: .....(1)

and
x + y = 140 \\ \\ x + 11x = 140 \\ \\ 12x = 140 \\ \\ x = \frac{140}{12} = 11.66 = 12 \: rupees

Cost of one chair = 12 rupees
