(1)

Add the two equations.

⇒ 3p + q - r + 15p + 4q - 8r

⇒ 18p + 5q - 9r.

(2)

Difference the equations:

⇒ 10p - (5p - q + 8r)

⇒ 5p + q - 8r.

(3)

Subtract the 2 equations.

⇒ 5p + q - 8r - (18p + 5q - 9r)

⇒ 5p + q - 8r - 18p - 5q + 9r

⇒ -13p - 4q + r.

Hope this helps!

<I >hey here is your answer

Subtract the sum of 3p + q - r and 15p + 4q - 8r from the difference of 10p from 5p - q + 8r

The question tells us that we have to

Subtract 3p + q - r + 15p + 4q - 8r from 10p - [5p - q + 8r ]

=> Subtract 3p + q - r + 15p + 4q - 8r from 10p - 5p + q - 8r

10p - 5p + q - 8r - [3p + q - r + 15p + 4q - 8r]

10p - 5p + q - 8r - 3p - q + r - 15p - 4q + 8r

10p - 5p - 3p - 15p + q - q - 4q - 8r + r + 8r

10p - 23p + q - 5q + 9r - 8r

\bf - 13p - 4q + r \: answer

hope this helps you
