Explanation :

Put x = 3 in equation x² - x - 6 = 0

=> 3² - 3 - 6 = 0

=> 9 - 3 - 6 = 0

=> 9 - 9 = 0

=> 0 = 0 [ True ]

Therefore ,

x = 3 is one root of x² - x - 6 = 0
