ANSWER:

  • The quadratic polynomial is x² - x - 6 = 0.

GIVEN:

  • The zeroes are - 2 and 3.

TO FIND:

  • The quadratic polynomial.

EXPLANATION:

METHOD - I:

x = - 2 , x = 3

(x + 2)(x - 3) = 0

x(x - 3) + 2(x - 3) = 0

x² - 3x + 2x - 6 =0

x² - x - 6 = 0

Method - II :

Quadratic equation:

x² - (sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes = 0

sum of zeroes = 3 - 2 = 1

product of zeroes = 3 × - 2 = -6

x² - x - 6 = 0

Hence the quadratic equation is x² - x - 6 = 0.
