Solution:

Quartiles of the variable x are 22,  28 and 33

Q₁ = 22

Q₂ = 28

Q₃ = 33

quartile deviation  = (Q₃ - Q₁)/2

= (33 - 28)/2

= 5/2

= 2.5

quartile deviation is  : 2.5
