Answer:

The question asked orally after the question hour in the House is called— Supplementary question.

Explanation:

What is Question hour:

  • Question Hour is the first hour of a Lok Sabha sitting session dedicated to inquiries from Members of Parliament about any part of administrative activity.
  • One of the ways Parliament may hold the Executive responsible is through questions.

Types of questions:

  1. Starred Questions: for which an oral response is expected. The member is allowed to as after the reply is obtained from the Minister concerned. Answer to such question may be followed by supplementary questions by member.
  2. Non-starred questions: those that require a written response. No further questions can be asked after the response has been given.
  3. Short notice questions: that are asked on subjects of immediate public concern and hence can be asked with less than 10 days' notice.
  4. Private members' questions:  those posed to members who are not ministers. These inquiries concern private member bills, parliamentary committees, and private member resolutions.
