At the end of story the girl realises that her father is too tired and busy to be Mr.McDonald ,he is after all not that giant and poor dad has no one to look after him.She realises her mistake how she had torn his speech written in beautiful handwriting .when she hears his heart beat she expresses her feeling by telling him how 'big' heart he has
