Answer:

Option(B)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: a + (1/a) + 2 = 0

⇒ a² + 1 + 2a = 0

It can be written as,

⇒ a² + 1 + 2a(1) = 0

∴ a² + b² + 2ab = (a + b)²

⇒ (a + 1)² = 0

⇒ a = -1.

Now,

a³⁷ - (1/a¹⁰⁰)

= (-1)³⁷ - 1/(-1)¹⁰⁰

= -1 - 1

= -2

∴ The value of a³⁷ - (1/a¹⁰⁰) = -2.

Hope it helps!

if a + 1/a = 2 ... a= 1

a + 1/a = -2 ......a = -1

(for this condition it will always same )

in our question

a= -1

a^37 - 1/a^100

(-1)^37 - 1/(-1)^100

-1 -1

= -2
