Let, the mass of rod is M
and mass of part of rod on table be m.
Then,
We can say, if mass is uniformly distributed
that, M/m = L / (L/4)
so, we get m = M/4
Now, gravity acting on that small part is
mg, hence Normal reaction will be mg.
Now substituting value of m,
we get, N = Mg/4

I think that will be the case when road is attached to string. When the string is cut the normal reaction will be different.
