The question says to simplify the expression.
8x to the power of 2 minus x to the power of 2.
I don't think it can be simplified, because if you replaced x with a number and added the negative number to it, you'd come out with a different answer than if you had just done the problem. But I'm still wondering. Sorry if I didn't explain this very well!
