The modulation index is given by the formula

  • I_{t} = I_{c}\sqrt (1 + [\frac{m^{2} }{2} ]{} )

Therefore when the modulation is applied and is increased to 15%

The value of I_{t} = 1500  I_{c}

⇒              1500  = \sqrt (1 + [\frac{m^{2} }{2} ]{} )

    2246999        = \sqr ( [\frac{m^{2} }{2} ]{} )

  4499998 = {m^{2} }

The modulation factor is m = 2121.3
