Answer:

After infinite number of steps the rabbit would reach the cat.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The starting point of rabbit (A) = 9 m

For every jump the rabbit covers (S1) = 3 m

The starting point of cat (B) = 17 m

For every jump the cat covers (S2) = 5 m

To find,

After how many jumps would the rabbit reach the cat.

Calculation,

As we can clearly see that every time the rabbit jumps it covers 3m but every time the cat jumps it covers 5m, so as the cat jumps more distance compared to the rabbit, the rabbit would never reach the cat unless and until the cat covers less distance compared to the rabbit.

Therefore, after infinite number of steps the rabbit would reach the cat.
