let r1=13cm and r2= 5cm

since, area of circle C1 + area of circle C2 = area of circle c

therefore, pi r1^2 - pi r2^2 = pi R2

pi (r1^2 -r2^2) = pi R2. ( taking pi common)

r1^2 - r2^2= R^2 ( pi will cancelled to each other)(13)^2 - (5)^2 = R^2

169-25= R^2

R^2= 144

R= square root144

R= 12cm
