The radii of two circles are 8 cm and 6 cm respectively. The diameter of the circle having area equal to the sum of the areas of the two circles (in cm) is

Ans: πr^2 = πr1^2 + πr2^2
=> 22/7 r^2 = 22/7 (8)^2 + 22/7 (6)^2

=> r^2 = 100
=> r = 10

Then , diameter = 2× 10
=> 20

(c) is correct option
