Let there radius be = 2r and 3r
And their height be = 5h and 4h
CSA of 1st cylinder (C1) = 2Πrh
= 2×Π×2r×5h
CSA of 2nd cylinder (C2) =
2×Π×3r×4h
Ratio = C1/C2
= 2Π × 2r × 5h/ 2Π× 3r × 4h
= 2×5/3×4 [ 2Π cancels with 2Π]
= 10/12 or 10:12
= 5:6
Similarly
Volume (V1) = Π× r^2 × h
= Π× 4r^2 × 5h
V2 = Π× 9r^2×4h
Ratio = V1/V2 = Π×4r^2×5h/Π×9r^2×4h
= 4×5/9×4
= 20/36
= 5/9 or 5:9
