FINAL ANSWER:

  • Area of circular path is 4312 square metre.
  • Cost of constructing the circular path is Rs 517440 .

GIVEN :

  • Radius of the circular flower garden = 42 m
  • A circular path of 14 m wide is lid around the garden.

TO FIND :

  • Area of the circular path.
  • The cost of constructing the circular path at the rate of Rs 120 per square metre.

FORMULA REQUIRED :

  • \bigstar{ \underline{\boxed{\pink {\sf {Area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2} }}}}}\bigstar

SOLUTION :

To Find the cost of constructing the circular path, first find out the Area of bigger circle and Area of smaller circle and then subtract Area of smaller circle from Area of bigger circle and in final multiply rate and Area of the path.

In Bigger Circle :

  • Radius = 42+14 =56 m
  • Area = 22/7 × 56×56 = 22×8×56 = 9856 square metre

In Smaller Circle :

  • Radius = 42 m
  • Area = 22/7 ×42 ×42 = 22×6×42 = 5544 square metre

In Circular Path:

  • Area of circular path = Area of bigger circle - Area of smaller circle
  • Area of circular path = 9856-5544 = 4312 square metre

Cost of constructing :

  • Cost of 1 m = Rs 120
  • Cost of 4312 square metre = 120×4312 = Rs 517440
