Slant height = hypotenuse = 25cm
Radius = Base = 7cm
Height of cone = Perpendicular =?
  by using Pythagoras Theorem
25^2 = 7^2 + P^2
625 = 49+p^2
P^2 = 625-49
P^2= 576
P= 24
hence height of cone = 24 cm

The base circle radius r, the height h and the slant height s form a right angle triangle.  Apply Pythagoras theorem:

s² = r² + h²
h² = 25² - 7² = 576
h = 24 cm
