Therefore now draw one line joining the center of chord and the point of radius which attached on the circle. Therefore now a right angle triangle form. By using Pythagoras theorem 10^2=6^2+ (distance between chord and radius )^2

Therefore 100-36= (distance between chord and radius )^2

Therefore (distance between chord and radius)^2=64

Distance between chord and radius =8

Hence we get distance between chord and radius is 8cm
