The radius of a circle is 7 cm. Find the perpendicular distance from the centre of the circle to the chord which is 10 cm in length​

By the property of circle that

Perpendicular drawn from centre to chord bisects the chord.

Using Pythagoras theorem, H=radius of circle=25cm.

P=perpendicular distance=7,and 'l' be the length of half chord(Since perpendicular to a chord from centre of circle bisects the chord)..

AB=48cm

Therefore  the length of chord will be 48cm.
