Let the radius of a circle be 'r'. When it is doubled, it becomes '2r'.

Area of the circle = pie × r^ 2

Area of the circle with doubled radius

= pie × (2r)^ 2 = pie × 4r^ 2.

Hence, the area of the circle increases by 300% (option 3) when the radius is doubled.

Hope it helps you.
