area of circle is πr^2 ..if the radius is reduced 4 times... then... the area gets multiplies by 1/16 as it is r^2

and radius =r/4

r_{1} =\frac{1}{4} X rAnswer:

(b) The area is multiplied by 1/16

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula of the area of the circle,

A =\pi r^{2}

now the radius of a circle is multiplied by 1/4.

so new radius,

r_{1} =\frac{1}{4}×r

so now new area of circle

A_{1}=\pi r_{1} ^{2}

=\frac{1}{16} r^{2}

compare A and A_{1} \\A_{1} =\frac{1}{16}A

So correct answer is b , the area is multiplied by 1/16
