given a circle with centre O having

radius = OB = 35 m

width of footpath is= 7m

therefore;

OA=OB - AB

hence ;

OA= 35m - 7m

OA= 28m

Find : Area of footpath

solution:-

we know that

area of footpath= (area of circle with radius 35 m)- ( area of circle having radius 28m)

therefore ;

area of footpath= (pie × r^2) - (pie×r^2)

area of footpath = (pie)×(35^2)×(28^2)×m^2

area of footpath = (pie)×(1225)×(784)×m^2

area of footpath = pie × 960,400m^2
