Formula : lateral surface area = 2πrh

let in starting radius is R ,height is H

according to question :

new radius ,r= 2R & height = h

and lateral area is unchanged

so that , 2πRH = 2πrh,

R.H = rh

R.H = (2R) h

h = H/2
