The cylindrical container is converted into cone . therefore there volume will be the same.

volume of cylinder = pi*r*r*h

volume of cone=1/3 * pi * r*r*h

22/7 * 7 * 7 * 42 = 1/3 * 22/7 * r * r* 14

on solving this you will get :-

r^2 = 546

r=23.37 cm

radius of the circle is 23.37 cm
