The radius of a cylindrical tank is 14 m. And height 20 m. Is.Find the area of curvature of the cylindrical tank.(ii) Find the total surface area of a cylindrical tank.(iii) Find the volume of a cylindrical tank.
Answers
Given :
- Radius of Cylinderal tank = 14cm
- Height of Cylinderal tank = 20cm
To Find :
- Area of curvature of the cylindrical tank
- Total surface area of a cylindrical tank.
- Volume of a cylindrical tank.
Solution :
(i) CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
→ 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 20
→ 44 × 2 × 20
→ 88 × 20
→ 1760cm²
(ii) TSA of cylinder = 2πr (h + r)
→ 2 × 22/7 × 14 (14 + 20)
→ 44 × 2 × 34
→ 88 × 34
→ 2992cm²
(iii) Volume of cylinder = πr²h
→ 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 20
→ 44 × 14 × 20
→ 12320cm³
Hence,
- CSA of cylinder is 1760cm²
- TSA of cylinder is 2992cm²
- Volume of cylinder is 12320cm³
_______________
Solution
Given :-
- Radius of cylindrical tank(r) = 14 m
- Height of cylindrical tank (h) = 20 m
Find :-
- area of curvature of the cylindrical tank
- total surface area of a cylindrical tank
- volume of a cylindrical tank.
Explantion
Case 1.
First Calculate Area of curvature of cylindrical tank
Using Formula
★ Area of curvature of cylindrical tank = 2πrh
Where,
- π = 22/7
Keep required values,
==> Area of curvature of cylindrical tank = 2 × (22/7) × 14 × 20
==> Area of curvature of cylindrical tank = 2 × 22 × 2 × 20
==> Area of curvature of cylindrical tank = 1760 m² [Ans]
Case 2.
Calculate , Total surface area of cylindrical tank
Using Formula
★ Total surface area of cylindrical tank = 2πr(r + h)
Keep required values,
==> Total surface area of cylindrical tank = 2 × (22/7) × 14 ( 14 + 20)
==> Total surface area of cylindrical tank = 88× 34
==> Total surface area of cylindrical tank = 2992 m² [ Ans]
Case 3.
Calculate, Volume of cylindrical tank
Using Formula
★ Volume of cylindrical tank = πr²h
Keep all required values
==> Volume of cylindrical tank = (22/7) × 14² × 20
==> Volume of cylindrical tank = 22 × 14 × 2 × 20
==> Volume of cylindrical tank = 880 × 14
==> Volume of cylindrical tank = 123,20 m³ [ Ans]
