hiii!!!
here's ur answer...
given :-
radius of the cylindrical tank = 1.40m
height of the cylindrical tank = 2.3m
ATQ, the cylindrical tank is without cap so we will us CSA + 1base formula
CSA + 1 base of the cylindrical tank = 2πrh + πr²
= ( 2 × 22/7 × 1.4 × 2.3 ) + ( 22/7 × 1.4 × 1.4 )
= ( 44 × 0.2 × 2.3 ) + ( 22 × 0.2 × 1.4 )
= 20.24 + 6.16
= 26.4m²
therefore cost of painting the tank at the rate of rs 160 per m² = 26.4 × 160 = rs 4224
hope this helps..!!
