The radius of a globe is 14 cm . On its surface it has two holes of radius 0.7 cm . Find the area of the steel plate used to make the globe .

Area of globe=4πr²
=4×22×14×14÷7
=2464 cm²
Area of holes=2×πr²
=2×22×0.7×0.7÷7
=3.08 CM ²
Area of sheet used= 2464-3.08
=2460.92
