volume of cone is

area of base of cone = 616 cm^2
area of base is

dividing them both we get
h = 16 cm
also from equation 2nd we get
π (r^2) = 616
(22/7)(r^2) = 616
(r^2) = 196 cm^2
which gives us
r = 14 cm
so now formula for slant height is
$\sqrt{ {h}^{2} + {r}^{2} }$
which gives us
√[ (16^2) + (14^2) ]
√[ 256 + 196 ]
√[ 452 ]
