Given:

The radius of a road roller is 56 cm and its length is 125 cm.

To find:

The area that is levelled by the roller in one revolution. Also, the area of the playground that is levelled by the roller in 250 revolutions.

Solution:

As given, we have,

The radius of the road roller = 56 cm

The length of the road roller = 125 cm

So,

the area levelled by a road roller in one revolution = curved surface area of the cylinder

 = 2\pi \: r \: h

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 56 \times 125

 = 2 \times 22 \times 8 \times 125

 = 44000 \:  {cm}^{2}

Now,

the area levelled by the road roller in 250 revolutions = 250 × area levelled in one revolution

 = 250  \times 44000

 = 11000000 \:  {cm}^{2}

or

 = 1100 \:  {m}^{2}

Hence,

The area that is levelled by the roller in one revolution is 44000 Square centimetres. Also, the area of the playground that is levelled by the roller in 250 revolutions is 11,000,000 Square centimetres.
