★ Thee radius of a solid metallic sphere is 10 centimetre if it is melted and recast into small cones of Height 5 cm and base radius 5 cm find the number of small cone is formed.

Given:

  • Radius of sphere is 10cm
  • Height of small cone is 5 cm
  • Base radius of small cone is 5 cm

To Find:

  • Number of small cones formed

Solution:

Volume of sphere = 4/3πr³

Volume of cone = 1/3πr²h

A/q

\small\implies{\sf } 4/3πr³ = 1/3πr²h ( Cancel same terms from both sides )

\small\implies{\sf } 4r³ = r²h

\small\implies{\sf } 4 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 5 x 5 x 5

\small\implies{\sf } 4000 = 125

\small\implies{\sf } No. Of cones = 4000/125 = 32

Hence, Number of small cone formed will be 32
